Sleeping Me - 'Lamenter Ep'

Thick, melancholic and evocatively haunting soundscapes created entirely by guitar, the music of Sleeping Me employs a balance of delicacy, power and gentle reverb to present an affecting sound that's resplendent in its warmth and fiery beauty. 'Lamenter', closely following stunning debut full-length 'Cradlesongs' on celebrated Australian imprint Hidden Shoal, proves that Sleeping Me's sound finds peace in even the most heartbreaking of circumstances, rarely has the devil's instrument of choice sounded so heavenly. EL Heath - 'Reflecting (Ambient and Loop Tracks, Autumn 2006) [Reprise]'

'Based around the unique howl of the Martenot (one of the scarcest instruments on the planet) and his choice of recording equipment - namely a 20 year old tape recorder, 'Reflecting' was once described as Basinksi's decomposing symphonies laced with the expansive nature of Vangelis' 'Bladerunner' score. Certainly, EL Heath's cavernous compositions, especially when he layers cascading drones, with obscured voices, piano, muffled guitar, the Ondes and violin, create warped, dream-like sequences of woozy melody and other-worldly peculiarity. 'Reflecting...' is an invigorating antidote to over-bearing digital manipulation and a celebration of nostalgia..

Konntinent - 'If I Could Buy A Map of Hope - Volume 2'

'If I Could Buy A Map of Hope - Volume 2' appropriately acts as an extension to the inaugural record found on ace German boutique imprint Sonic Pieces. Like its predecesor 'MOHv2' is an exploration of organic, free range melody and process moulded textures - an argument of stasis and free form. In the palette this time around are some glockenspiels, some vocals, some splicing, some dicing and some dancing. Across 8 compositions 'MOHv2' touches various musical bases including Post-Rock, Soundscapes, Drone, Broken Vocal Songwriting and even Techno.

Eyes Flutter Beneath - 'Inside The Dream Laboratory'

'Inside The Dream Laboratory' is designed for low-volume consumption, when sleep isn't necessary but, instead a natural, unhurried occurrence. It's this psyche Eyes Flutter Beneath intends to tap into, coiling deeply personal field recordings of a biological nature round peaceful, unpolished ambient textures to reveal a pure human element towards a genre that often strays in the other direction.

Elisa Luu - 'Floating Sounds'
Working alone Elisa creates a unique hybrid of mostly instrumental electronic music with subtle elements of jazz. The final track 'Starry Night' features treated vocals by Chinese singer MousoN which perfectly use her breathy tones purely as an instrument rather than a device for language.
